Sony Xperia P and Xperia neo L Smartphones

Sony is now flying solo on the smartphone market, after buying out Ericsson’s share of the deal, and has recently announced two new phones ready for release, namely the Xperia P and Xperia neo L.
These are two affordable options joining the Xperia line of smartphones, following high-end handsets such as Xperia Ion and Xperia S. The company is basically trying to cover all bases by releasing a few affordable models in addition to the higher-end and more expensive models under the sole brand name.

Design

These two are mid-range and entry-level smartphones and look rather different as a consequence. The Sony Xperia P is part of the NXT Series and looks pretty much like any other phone in the Xperia family, while the neo L seems to come straight from the past and still shows some of Ericsson’s influences.
The Xperia P comes in the same square design and looks a lot like the Xperia Ion or Xperia S, while the Xperia neo L looks a lot like the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. In fact the neo L doesn’t just look like the Xperia Neo but also shares a few hardware features with this older model from the Ericsson era.

Hardware

The Xperia P will not disappoint you in terms of hardware features and could easily be compared with a higher-end model from the Xperia line of smartphones. The neo L, on the other hand, is your average entry-level smartphone, featuring a Qualcomm single core CPU running a 1Ghz and 512MB of RAM.
If you take a closer look at the Xperia P, you’ll be able to find a few special features, including the Bravia Mobile-powered Reality display with WhiteMagic technology which greatly enhances your visual experience with this handset.
The processor powering the Xperia P is not a quad core, like you would find in the high-end smartphones currently on the market, but a dual core STE NovaThor U8500 chipset, which is actually pretty good for multitasking. This dual core processor runs at 1GHz and is aided by 1GB of RAM, while the graphic side of things is handled by the Mali 400 GPU – one of the top 3 graphical adapters for smartphones.
Connectivity options coming with both of these new Xperia smartphones include WiFi N, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and USB, while the XPeria P also adds DLNA and HDMI to the mix.

Software

One interesting detail regarding these two smartphones is that the neo L features Android 4.0 pre-installed, while the Xperia P comes with Gingerbread and is still expecting the Ice Cream Sandwich update. This detail will most likely confuse a few people when they’re faced with a choice between these two. Both of these phones use the Sony Timescape UI though, which will make them feel pretty much the same for users.
Sony hasn’t released any details about pricing with these phones, but we’re expecting two affordable price tags for them. The Xperia P will soon become available in US and Europe, while the Xperia neo L will head straight for China and you won’t be able to acquire it in the western countries unfortunately.

Facebook Search Engine - Future planning

facebook search engine logo
It is True that Facebook is reportedly planning to create a new search engine which would help people to navigate on the website better.
According to times of India

A Bloomberg Businessweek report said the firm has deployed two-dozen Facebook engineers onto the ambitious project, which aims to improve the search engine currently available on the social network.

According to the report, the project is led by former Google engineer Lars Rasmussen.

The magazine's unnamed sources said that the project is "to help users better sift through the volume of content that members create on the site, such as status updates, and the articles, videos, and other information across the Web that people "like" using Facebook's omnipresent thumbs-up button".

According to The Telegraph, Facebook has done very little to improve its search engine, which currently lets people find other users, brands, status updates and some wider web results, through a long-standing partnership with Microsoft's search engine, Bing.

It has yet to properly focus its attention on the small search engine box situated at the top of each users' page.

Meanwhile, Facebook has declined to comment on the matter.

Let we wait what happens in the Future.

OMG ! ! 'Anonymous' says it won't shut down internet

A world famous newspaper Times of India says that "NEW DELHI: Will hackers, allegedly associated with a group called Anonymous, shut down internet on March 31? According to the group's Twitter account, from where it communicates with the world, the answer is no.

"What is this #OperationGlobalBlackout nonsense? I thought we settled this back in February? It won't happen. Stop asking us about it! >.<," the group's account (@youranonnews) tweeted on March 29.

Another account (@AnonymousIRC), added, "Dear Netizens, Internet will remain online. And to the death we will defend it. Always. Sail strong and do not get distracted by trolls."

Incidentally, the rumour that hackers associated with Anonymous were planning to bring down the internet gained credence on Friday after IANS, a news agency, quoted Interpol's secretary general, Ronald K Noble saying the threat was real.

"Operation Global Blackout 2012 looks to shut down the internet for a whole day tomorrow (Saturday) by disabling its core DNS servers, making websites inaccessible," he reportedly told the news agency in New Delhi.

Anonymous is a loosely knit group of hackers and hacktivists. In the past, they have attacked government and corporate websites to protest what they perceived was injustice. The group had even played a role in keeping the web working for protestors in Middle East last year when countries like Egypt and Tunisia shut down the internet after widespread protests.

In the last few months, law enforcement authorities in several countries have arrested a number of alleged Anonymous members.

The news about a crippling attack on the internet surfaced last month when a document was posted on a website called Pastebin, which in the past was often used by hackers belonging to Anonymous and Lulzsec, to communicate with the press.

"To protest SOPA, Wallstreet, our irresponsible leaders and the beloved bankers who are starving the world for their own selfish needs out of sheer sadistic fun, On March 31, anonymous will shut the Internet down," stated the note. It highlighted that internet can be shut down by attack on 13 root DNS servers that play a crucial role in making sure that web users reach their desired websites.

But the problem with Pastebin note is that the website can be used by anyone to post any note. Mohit Kumar, a whitehat hacker and founder of the Hacker News website, said the threat to internet is "bogus". He said, "I can go and post anything on Pastebin in anyone's name. Even if the note is true, technically it is not possible for a few hackers to attack and shutdown 13 root servers."

On March 29, @youranonnews also said, "For the billionth time: #Anonymous will not shut down the Internet on 31 March. #OpGlobalBlackout is just another #OpFacebook failop. #yawn".

OpFacebook is reference to a hacking operation that was supposed to bring down Facebook on November 5 (Guy Fawkes Day) last year. At that time Anonymous had said that somebody was playing prank. The OpFacebook never materialized. The note about Facebook attack was also posted on Pastebin."

Indian Police Finds Suspect on Facebook

Don't get shock !!!! It is the real story world's best seller news paper Times of India reports that Facebook helped Indore police crack a theft case where two students had picked up a motor-bike from a shopping mall in the city.

The news report says that the CCTV cameras installed in the parking area captured the image of thieves. The duo had done some shopping inside the mall and “guessing them as students, police tried to find out the accused on Facebook and traced them to Bhopal. “

Facebook did help the police confirm their initial suspicion but I think it’s the credit card payment that actually helped the cops nab the suspects.

Rumor: Nokia Windows 8 tablet coming in Q4 2012 [10 inch, dual core Qualcomm]

A good news for all the members is that Nokia Windows 8 tablet with dual core Qualcomm and size 10"inch is coming in Q4 2012.Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop has stated before that they’ll be working on a tablet only if they had something majorly different from the usual offerings right now, and they just might have that, thanks to good ol’ Microsoft.
Windows8 logo
Apparently, according to DigiTimes, supplier sources have said that Nokia will enter the Windows scene with an ARM 10 inch Windows 8 tablet powered by a dual core Qualcomm System-on-chip sometime towards the end of the year. The ‘earliest’ might be Q4 2012, so it’s very possible that it might only be released early next year. Taiwanese company ODM Compal Electronics might be manufacturing it for Nokia, with 200,000 units produced in the first run.

The feature list is really impressive. It’s hard to imagine a display clearer than the present iPad 2 since the present display is pretty awesome. A more powerful processor to support the new graphics is something I was really looking forward too. More features I was expecting was Siri, the voice assistant which was introduced in the Apple iPhone 4S, a new design of the tablet and some new colours other than Black and Classic White. Hope Apple comes with these changes in their next upgrade. But the most interesting think to watch out in the next iPad is, will the company continue their legacy of innovating the products just like the co-founder Steve Jobs did or will it become similar to the other companies in the market.

Android 5.0 Jellybean Coming up

Newest News in Android bazar.Although Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich hasn’t even been deployed on all compatible handsets yet, the Android 5.0 Jellybean rumors and speculations seemed to immediately start churning out of the rumour mill. It seems that Google itself is now taking part, as The Verge reports that Google has stuffed a giant bowl of Jellybeans in the middle of their massive Android booth at Mobile World Conference 2012. I highly doubt this is coincidence or some tongue-in-cheek statement. It seems that Google is giving us a little wink, foreshadowing the next Android OS iteration.

Facebook launced new 'Zero' site for mobile phones

One Interesting news regarding facebook is that  It has launched a new Zero Site. This may be very good new to the person who use Facebook in their mobile. About 10 billion are using facebook from mobile and the rest are from PC and other devices.

Facebook is releasing new Facebook zero mobile version. Facebook are supporting to the mobile facebook users. We can easily use this site which can be fit and fine to your mobile screen. It doesn't takes enough memory. This is faster and perfect than before.

When you visit the URL zero.facebook.com using your mobile’s browser, you’ll see a notice that your carrier does not yet support the service. Obviously because it was just launched and operators have yet to sign up.

"Zero is a light-weight version of m.facebook.com that omits data intensive applications like Photos," said Facebook rep Brandee Barker. "It will launch in coming weeks and we are discussing it at MWC as an option to make Facebook on the mobile web available to everyone, anywhere and allow operators to encourage more mobile Internet usage."

Facebook will fix these unexpected errors soon. Happy using Facebook zero site.

worth1000

Worth1000 is an image manipulation and contest website. Worth1000 opened on January 1, 2002 and hosts over 340,000 unique images made in theme contests such as "Rejected Transformers", "Invisible World", and "Stupid Protests". In mid-2003, Worth1000 began hosting similar competitions for photography, text, and multimedia.
The website was designed by Avi Muchnick and Israel Derdik. Muchnick named it after the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words".
The site has been featured in many different publications, TV shows, and radio including PC Magazine, Popular Science, Good Morning America, BBC, CNN, New York Times, Weekly World News, Detroit Free Press, TechTV, USA Today, G4, Inside Edition and many others.

Google started to Indexes Facebook Comments

A recent technology related news is that That Googlebots, or the spiders that crawl web pages,  are now reading Facebook comments on websites just like any other text content and the more interesting part is that you can also search the text of these comments using regular Google search.

in most of the cases it is not possible cause they use <iframe> tag to show the post hence Search Engine can't read the comments.

That seems to have changed recently at least in the case of Google. [Update] This was later confirmed by Matt Cutts – “Googlebot keeps getting smarter. Now has the ability to execute AJAX/JavaScript to index some dynamic comments.”

To give you an example, here’s a comment from Robert Scoble that he has previously written on a TechCrunch page using the Facebook comments system..

.and here’s the same comment available through Google web search. You can in fact use search queries like “commenter name * commenter title” (for example – “Robert Scoble * Chief Learning Officer at Rackspace”) to discover all comments that he or she may have written on various websites that use the Facebook comments platform.
If you have so far avoided using Facebook comments on your website /blog just because of the SEO factor, you may want to reconsider your decision now.
However I am not too sure if Google would pass any juice to any of the website links that some people may be dropping in your comments. Also, moderation of Facebook Comments is all the more important now as the comment text is part of the page content itself and you don’t want to be in violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines just because of those angry comments that do not use very civilized language.

Google Opposes SOPA And PIPA On Homepage

Google along with other Tech bigies like Facebook have been opposing the controversial anti-piracy bill of Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA) that the US senate is debating.
In fact on Tuesday, Wikipedia cofounder Jimmy Wales asked students to finish homework early as he detailed plans to shut down the website on Wednesday to protest against the bill. Wales tweeted, “Student warning! Do your homework early. Wikipedia protesting bad law on Wednesday,”.
Google is using its homepage to protest this bill. Below the search textbox, Google says “Tell Congress: Please don’t censor the web!“

Following is the explanation and stand of Google:
Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S. Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.
Fighting online piracy is important. The most effective way to shut down pirate websites is through targeted legislation that cuts off their funding. There’s no need to make American social networks, blogs and search engines censor the Internet or undermine the existing laws that have enabled the Web to thrive, creating millions of U.S. jobs.
Too much is at stake – please vote NO on PIPA and SOPA.
The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

7 Screenshots of Sites Protesting SOPA And PIPA

these are the some screenshots of the top rated website against the SOPA and PIPA.
The internet is on strike! Today, more than 7000 sites are going dark in protest of anti-internet legislation. SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, and PIPA, the Protect IP Act, could alter the way that the internet functions.
Sites like Reddit and Wikipedia have decided to blackout their sites today to protest SOPA and PIPA. The White House has even come out against the legislation, saying that it would hurt the “dynamic web.”
Here’s a look around the internet today.

REDDIT – ““The freedom, innovation, and economic opportunity that the Internet enables is in jeopardy. Congress is considering legislation that will dramatically change your Internet experience and put an end to reddit and many other sites you use everyday.”

sopa reddit
Reddit also posted a FAQ about SOPA, provided several articles on the legislation, and urged users to contact their congressman.

WIKIPEDIA - For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia

IMGUR - “Imgur stands in solidarity with Reddit, Wikipedia, Google, The White House and countless other groups that oppose HR 3261 (SOPA) and United States Senate Bill S.968 (PIPA). SOPA is not dead; it has been shelved and won’t return “until a consensus is reached,” according to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA). The fight against Internet censorship continues as the Senate vote for PIPA is still scheduled for Sunday. It is important that our users understand the far-reaching and potentially disastrous repercussions that this legislation could have on the vibrancy and freedom of the Internet.”
WORDPRESS -  ”There’s a bill in the U.S. Senate that if passed would put publishing freedom severely at risk, and could shut down entire sites at the whim of media companies.”

WordPress users will still be able to access their blogs but WordPress has created anti-SOPA plugins for bloggers to use.

The Cheezburger Network – “A bill called PIPA proposed in the US Senate will cripple the Web — one of the biggest job-creating engines in America — and censor our online freedoms. It could mean the censoring of Cheezburger, Facebook, Wikipedia, and millions of others. It will mean censoring you.”

MOZILLA – “Today Mozilla joins with other sites in a virtual strike to protest two proposed laws in the United States, called SOPA and the PROTECT IP Act. On January 24th, the U.S. Senate will vote on thePROTECT IP Act to censor the Internet, despite opposition from the vast majority of Americans.”

Moveon.org – “This is what Internet censorship looks like. Today, MoveOn.org is blacking out our website in protest of Internet censorship legislation—along with Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla, and many other major websites. Sign our petition against Internet censorship.”

FARK – Fark is one of the few sites supporting SOPA and PIPA. Fark writes: “While a bunch of other sites are going “dark” to protest SOPA/PIPA, we’re over the moon about the whole thing. Why? Honestly, we’ve been bringing you the latest news happening across the internet for 12 years, and we’re tired. And SOPA/PIPA is the perfect excuse to quit.”

What Are SOPA and PIPA And Why All The Fuss?

Today Morning I have come across this two words SOPA and PIPA. Here I am trying to tell you that What are the SOPA and PIPA and what the going around the world.

Yesterday 19th January 2012, World’s Largest Online encyclopedia goes Dark on Wednesday in the whole United States.
Wikipedia goes Black in Protest of anti-piracy Legislation in worldwide.

look at the picture of wikipedia :

Wikipedia - Stop SOPA - PIPA (Goes Dark Today 19th January) Wednesday

Following sites (Companies) are in Protest:
  • Google
  • Wikipedia
  • Reddit
  • Mozilla
  • WordPress
  • Cheezburger Network Sites
  • TwitcPic
  • Wired
  • Greenpeace International
  • Proxy Websites

Slogen is to Stop SOPA/PIPA
SOPA & PIPA are 2 new bills of anti-piracy Legislation in United States and fullform of SOPA and PIPA are:
  • SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act)
  • PIPA (Protect IP Act)
These potential bills will allow the US government to block Americans from visiting certain websites.
Similar to ‘The Great Firewall of China’ and countries such as Iran and Syria, SOPA will allow the government the ability to control and censor the internet by forcing internet service providers to firewall websites and IP addresses.
Unfortunately SOPA states that websites and services that enable people to bypass censorship will themselves be censored.

Therefore if SOPA passes, online anonymity services such as Proxy Sites will be at high risk of being banned in the US altogether, unless they censor their networks to comply.

Although the likes of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Mozilla, Wikipedia, and other influential companies are strongly opposing the bill, SOPA still has a lot of support and financial backing.

Please take a moment out of your day to learn more about SOPA and help protect the future of your internet.
